Learning that the Fargo gang destroyed a bridge that might have given the cavalry time to aid the Alamo, he tracks down Fargo as Matt Hawk in an outlaw town; Fargo jails him, but he breaks out, and chases after Fargo; Fargo runs into an indian war party, and is killed by them.

Finally, they are attacked by Porter, who falls from a cliff while fighting the Two-Gun Kid. He lies to the Kids, saying Porter confessed to the robbery, and sets them both free.

The Two-Gun Kid destroys the oil, cheats the death he had anticipated for himself, and rides off with the Sunset Riders.
