Why did you choose a job/career in this field?

 

I did my B.Com at McGill with a major in Marketing and after a brief stint in the non-profit world, I decided corporate was where I wanted to be. I started off doing a lot of market research and new product development and then the opportunity came to take over all responsibilities of the VP Advertising who was retiring. Since then I’ve been managing all advertising and PR projects for the company.

 

 

 

How did you decide on your job/Career?

 

I’m still not 100% decided, but for right now I am happy and learning new things every day. And to me that’s what is important right now. I really enjoy the advertising aspects of my job, and the brand management is important too. I feel as though I am getting the best of both worlds because I really get to dabble in everything.

I found my career through an employment counselor in Montreal.

 

 

 

What suggestions could you give to those out there who would like to work for the same company or are looking to make a similar career move?

 

Working in consumer electronics may not seem glamorous, but there’s a lot of room to learn and grow.
