MOTHER'S DAY REFLECTIONS
The scent of Lily
Of The Valley
permeates my mind,
creating images
of you, Mom
and all our special
times.
You've been gone
so long
but still I miss
you so,
this year I plan
to visit your grave
there's things
that you should know.
I haven't visited
for many years
because your spirit
isn't there,
I always sense
you close to me
and know I'm in
your care.
The years have
passed quickly
I hope I made you
proud,
you were a wonderful
mother
a tribute
often said aloud.
I'll pick Lily
Of The Valley
and write a special
poem,
filling verses
with memories
thoughts that take
me home.
l'll sit and visit
awhile
watch boats sail
on the bay,
I know it's very
peaceful there
a silent place
to pray.
I'll spend the
time reflecting
on the past and
future too,
then place
Lily Of The Valley on your grave
as a sweet
remembrance of you.
