a foot of Snow was a dream come true.
Abilities
were discovered because of
a
'double-dog-dare'

Saturday
morning Cartoons weren't

minute Ads for action figures.
Taking
a Bath in the kitchen in a big metal Tub.
Going
outside to the 'Out House'.
Putting
your Gum
on
the Bed post for the next day.
The
Chamber Pot under the Bed.
Watching
the Mickey Mouse Club after School.
Wearing
your Sweaters buttoned up the Back.
Bobby
Socks, and penny Loafers.
Wishing
on the First Star
you
saw in the Night Sky.
'Oly-oly-oxen-free'
made perfect sense.
Eating
'all day' Suckers,
and
they lasted a whole Day.
Cracker
Jack Prizes.
Pouring
Peanuts into your Coke.
Drinking
cherry vanilla Cokes at the drug store.
When
the school Morning started off
a
Bible Verse, and a Prayer.
When
you felt Proud to be chosen to
Raise
or lower the American Flag
at
the start or close of the school day.

you can Remember - Most or All of these,
then

for
