This is the best shot of the eclipse that we got. The clouds acted as a pretty good filter! |

The most interesting thing wasn't the sun - it was the massive 'rainbow ring' that appeared just prior to the eclipse. Was this due to the sudden drop in temperature? |

The sky was totally odd all the was during the eclipse - it was like the sky had been stretched.. |

The pin hole camera (i.e. cardboard box with tracing paper on one end) was a pretty good way to see the sun |

While dad set-up our minolta slr - with the longest lens we had - so as not to burnout the shutter curtain. |
