The EclipsePhotographsThese photographs were taken during the eclipse, with my dad's digital camera. |

This is the best shot of the eclipse that we got. The clouds acted as a pretty good filter! |
And here it is again - you might just about see it.. |
|
This about as close to totality as we got. |
The most interesting thing wasn't the sun - it was the massive 'rainbow ring' that appeared just prior to the eclipse. Was this due to the sudden drop in temperature? |
|
The sky was totally odd all the was during the eclipse - it was like the sky had been stretched.. |
Here is another photo of the ring |
|
And another of the unusual cloud - it was totally overcast an hour before and after the eclipse. |
The pin hole camera (i.e. cardboard box with tracing paper on one end) was a pretty good way to see the sun |
|
Chris, Nikki and James came over to have a look through our cameras. |
While dad set-up our minolta slr - with the longest lens we had - so as not to burnout the shutter curtain. |
Dad hasn't sent off the film from the other camera yet - If they come out, I'll pop them on the website.
