At the black wrought iron gate. Pull in and wait for the nice lady to come out and take your money. This is one of my favorite places to ride if I do not feel like the long drive to Muenster. Driving time from Arlington, TX is approximately 40 minutes. |
| MUENSTER (Red River Cycle Park) |
| This is the best place to ride within 200 miles of Dallas/Ft. Worth in my opinion. It has something for everybody. Riding areas include 2500 acres bordering the Red River. Thers is everything from sand dunes, to creek bottoms, to wide open fire roads, and everything in between. Did I mention sand???? If you like sand then you'll love Muenster because it has lots and lots of it. The park is closed on weekdays for general admission. Riders can only ride during the week by appointment only! Riding fees are $8.00 per person per day with free camping available. All children 10 and under are free if they are not riding. Electrical hook-ups are $10.00. No dune buggies allowed. Directions- From Dallas go north on 35E towards Gainsville. In Gainsville exit HWY 82 and go west abouth 13 miles to Muenster. At the only stop light in town turn right, this is Main St. Go about a half a mile and turn left on FM 373. Follow this road for approximately 15 miles. The Red River Cycle Park will be on your right side...you can't miss it. For more information and week day riding call (940) 995-2903 from 8:00am to 8:00pm. Driving time from Dallas, TX is approximately an hour and a half. |

Personally have never been here but have heard it is supposibly better than Muenster. Driving time from Dallas, TX is approximately an hour and fifteen minutes. |
| TWIN HILLS CYCLE RANCH |
| (Bridgeport, TX) Terrain varies from open pastures to tight narrow XC tracks. Excellent 60-acre camping area available. Directions- From the Denton area take 380 west through Bridgeport. 4 miles west of Bridgeport, turn north onto 1820. On 1820, go about 1 mile and look for the Twin Hills Convenience store at the top of the hill. From Dallas take 635 west past DFW airport to 121 south. Take the HWY 114 Bridgeport exit. Stay on HWY 114 west and turn left on 380. Turn right onto CR1658 and drive five miles. Twin Hills Convenience store will be on your right just past the lake and dam. Personally I would rather go to somewhere close like Flying "P" than this place. Would not refer for sport quads. Appoximately an hour and 15 minutes from Dallas, TX. |

| This is a public use riding area that is managed by the Corps of Engineers. Nothing bigger than an ATV is allowed here. Riding fee is free at all times and the park is open from 6:00am to 10:00pm. Exit onto 377 and go north about 1/4 mile. Marshall Creek Rd will be on your left side. Turn right on Marshall Creek Rd. and the park will be about a mile down. This place is very fun and conveinent. Approximately 20 minutes west of Dallas, TX. |
| Shady Grove Track (Irving) |
| This is a privately owned MX track that is well maintained. Terrain varies from doubles, table-tops, and steep step-ups. Riding fee is $6.00 and is open 7 days a week from sun up to sun down. The riding area is approximately 60 acres including the track and a smaller riding area located in the Trinity River Bottoms. Directions- From Texas Stadium in Irving go south on Loop 12 and exit Shady Grove. At Shady Grove take a left (east) over the bridge and go down about a mile. Look for a sign that says McPetersons junk yard and turn in the driveway. Follow the dirt road all the way down and stay to your left. The track should be about 100 yards past the house. I have just recently discovered this riding place and find it to be one of my favorites. It is usually very crowded on the weekends. Usually around 15-20 quads and about 40 dirtbikes. |
