MG's Bio
The man behind the magic, Myke Griseta, began his quest to create the best summer racing circuit in DGN history, in April of 2004, but this story starts long before then...

As a wide-eyed sophomore at DGN, he decided to step into the fire that was the DGN Trojan Cross Country team.  He enjoyed a moderately successful sophomore campaign in relative anonymity.  Inspired by the success around him, he decided to pound the pavement in the summer of 2002.  He did so and ended up chalking up 750 miles in the summer, laying a solid foundation for the remainder of his running carear at DGN.  After a season beyond his wildest dreams in which he made the top seven and ran on the holy land of cross country courses, Detweiler Park in Peoria.  He went on to have an injury marred 2003 season and a relatively successful track campaign in '04.  Then it dawned on him, his days of running for an organized team were over (having chosen to attend college at D-I University of Missouri).  This is when the magic happened, through a stroke of utter genious he conceived the idea for a series of races throughout the Chicago-land area involving runners of all shapes and sizes, that would be scored using a system so mathematically complex that it would have NASA scientists baffled.  The schedule was picked, the races were run, and the seeds to the MGRC were firmly planted.
