Rules for 2008

  • The item limit has been lifted...bring us everything you've got!
  • Unlimited saddles are allowed, but remember the best selling saddles are $500 or less!
  • All items must be clean, in good repair and tagged with the price, item description, line number and the owner�s full name.

  • Tack drop off times will start on October 4th and we have drop off days scheduled for the 4th through the 8th.
    10/4 9am - 2pm
    10/5 12pm-1pm
    10/7 7pm-9pm
    10/8 7pm-9pm

  • All unsold items must be picked up by 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 12th, 2008 between noon and 4:00 PM by appointment. -
    Any items left beyond Sunday, November 2, 2008, become the property of
    the Annual Second Hand Tack Sale. You will sign up for your pick up appointment
    when you drop off your items to sell.
  • A 15% commission is taken on all items sold. (commission not taken on sales of less than $20)
    Within approximately three weeks of the tack
    sale date (11/15/2008) We will send you a list of items sold, and items
    returned with a check for items sold less the 15% commission. It is your
    responsibility to check your list and ensure you have either received your
    tack back, or have received money for its sale. We will be happy to make any
    adjustments should the need arise.
  • We have room for up to 3 horses for sale. The fee is $30 for stabling for
    Friday night and Saturday the day of the sale
    No commission is taken on horses. You must be available to show
    your horse to interested buyers, and all horses must be in place Friday night
    the 10th before 9 p.m.
  • We have room for an unlimited number of horse trailers. To sell a trailer,
    please plan to bring it to 9779 Towne Rd. on Friday, October 10th by 7 p.m.
    There will be a $20 registration fee and a 5% commission for all trailers
    sold. Please let us know in advance if you�d like to bring a trailer.
  • Jumps and other horse equipment sells very well, please consider bringing
    the pile of jumps you never use anymore!

  • One last note � If you have many items to sell, please do not wait until the
    last minute. The Annual Secondhand Tack Sale has been a big hit in the past,
    and participants have made hundreds of dollars.

    If you need help pricing items, look through your catalogs and price items
    from 20%-70% off retail value. Pick your price based on how �used� the item
    is. Or, feel free to call Michelle or Lisa for advice.
