Born Angelina Jolie Voight on june 4, 1975 is an acdemy award-winning American actress a former fashion model and a Goodwill ambassador for the United Nations High Comissioner for Refugees. She is also known for her great beauty as well as her tumultuous off-screen life. She has received three Golden Globes, twoScreen Actors Guild Awards and two EMMY nominations as well as an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the film Girl Interupted .

1999 - The bone collector

Ex-fashion model turned street cop, Amelia Donaghy (Angelina Jolie) goes alone -- no partner and no backup -- into a remote and dangerous area to investigate what will prove to be a heinous crime scene. (Jolie is convincing as an ex-fashion model but badly miscast as a cop.) After locating a mutilated corpse, Donaghy notices a small stack of evidence on the nearby train tracks. When she sees an Amtrak locomotive barreling down the tracks, she doesn't just scoop up the evidence. Oh no, that would be too easy and not dramatic enough. Instead, she stands on the tracks and hopes she can stop a speeding train that is coming right at her. Trains like these take a long distance to come to a halt, but this one stops just a few feet short of killing her and messing up her evidence.

2000 - Gone in 60 seconds

A remake of a 1974 picture of the same name, GONE IN 60 SECONDS has a mildly interesting premise. Randall "Memphis" Raines's ( Nicholas Cage) brother, Kip ( Giovani Ribisi), is in trouble with a not very convincing bad guy, Raymond Calitri (Christopher Eccleston). Memphis is lured out of car-thief retirement by Raymond's threat to kill Kip unless Memphis steals a precise list of 50 cars in 3 days. Many of these are hard to find, none more so than Memphis's nemesis, a 1967 Shelby Mustang GT 500. Others come along with Memphis for the big heist. Robert Duvall is the wise old veteran. Angelina jolie is there to supply the sex appeal. And there are lots of others in a largely wasted cast. Finally, Delroy Lindo is the police investigator who can't quite catch the thieves even with a hundred cop cars to support him. 

2001 Lara Croft: Tomb Rader

runs a long 1:40. It is rated PG-13 for action violence and some sensuality and would be acceptable for kids around 9 and up.

2001 original sin

A man with antonio banderas looks feels the need to order his bride via the post office. Although he picks a homely woman, he gets a gorgeous one with angelina jolie 's raw sexuality instead. Not objecting to the bait-and-switch, he decides that she's a keeper. 

2002 Life or something like it

In Stephen Herek's LIFE OR SOMETHING LIKE IT, Lanie Kerigan (Angelina Jolie) is a local Seattle television reporter whose career consists of a long series of fluff pieces. With the blondest hair a bottle can produce and with big lips and breasts, she thinks that she has network written all over her. With an important position coming up at "AM USA," she is hoping to lettuce-eat her way to stardom. You can never be too thin. 

2003 Beyond Borders

It has a child endangerment scene in which a bad guy puts a loaded grenade into a toddler's hands. As the little boy plays with the grenade and the firing pin, we have to wait to see if his little limbs will be blown to bits or not.

2003 Lara Croft Tomb Rader: the cradle of life

runs 1:58. It is rated PG-13 for "action violence and some sensuality" and would be acceptable for kids around 10 and up.

2004 Alexander

runs a stupefyingly long 2:55. It is rated R for "violence and some sexuality/nudity" and would be acceptable for most teenagers.

2004 Taking Lives

Angelina Jolie plays Illeana, an FBI Special Agent assigned to help a reluctant team of Montreal cops in a serial killer investigation.

2005 Mr. & Mrs. Smith
