GBA: Mario Kart Super Circuit - ITEMS Star For a limited time, you will be invincible and your speed will increase. Bananas, Shells, and enemies will not affect you. While invincible, you can hurt other enemies too! How to use: To use the Super Star, press the L Button. You will be invincible for about five seconds. Lightning Use this to attack every other kart. When struck by a thunder bolt, a Kart will shrink, its speed will drop, and it can easily be run over. How to use: To use the Lightning, press the L Button and the effect will work automatically, and for a limited time (about five seconds). Banana If you touch this, your racer will spin out. How to use: To use the Banana, hold the L Button to make the Banana drag behind you, then release the L Button to drop it wherever you choose. It will stay there until someone touches it. Also, if you hold Up on the Control Pad, then press the L Button, you can fire the Banana in front of you instead of behind you! Green Shell This shell travels in a straight line. Use it when a rival racer is directly in front of you. How to use: To use the Green Shell, hold the L Button to make it drag behind you, then release the L Button to shoot it whenever you choose. It will shoot in a straight line. Make sure to stay away from walls when you shoot it... it can make you crash as well! Also, if you hold Down on the Control Pad, then let go of the L Button, you can fire the shell behind you. Red Shell When a Red Shell is fired, it chases its target; increasing your chance of hitting an opponent. How to use: To use the Red Shell, hold the L Button to make it drag behind you, then release the L Button to shoot it whenever you choose. It will home in on the nearest racer to you. Also, if you hold Down on the Control Pad, then let go of the L Button, you can drop the shell behind you where it will stay until a racer nears it, in which it will home in on that racer. Mushroom The Mushroom gives you a temporary boost of speed. How to use: To use the Mushroom, press the L Button to automatically gain a lot of speed. The effect will wear off in about three seconds. Boo/Ghost When another racer has an item, use Boo to steal the item away. After using Boo, you will become temporarily invisible to the other racers and can drive safely through Shells and Bananas. How to use: To use Boo, press the L Button to steal an item from a random racer. There is no way to choose what item you get, or which racer you steal it from. Spiny Shell Spiny's Shell will chase the Kart in the lead. Along the way, it will take out any other karts in its' way! How to use: To use Spiny's Shell, hold the L Button to make it drag behind you, then release the L Button to shoot it whenever you choose. It will home in on the lead racer and take out any racers it runs into! Triple Green Shell Triple shells will revolve around your kart, making an effective barrier against rival karts. This shell travels in a straight line. Use it when a rival racer is directly in front of you. You get three of them to use at anytime. How to use: To use the Green Shell, tap the L Button to make three circle around you, then tap the L Button again to shoot one whenever you choose. It will shoot in a straight line. Make sure to stay away from walls when you shoot it... it can make you crash as well! Note: You cannot shoot the Triple Green Shells behind you like you can with the single Green Shell. Triple Red Shell Triple shells will revolve around your kart, making an effective barrier against rival karts. You also have three Red Shells to shoot. How to use: To use the Triple Red Shells, tap the L Button to make them circle around you, then tap the L Button again to shoot one at a nearby racer. |
