The following information was completed nearly 3 years ago when I installed Eibach springs on my car and chose to use the stock struts. I recently installed Bilstein sport struts with an adjustable lower perch setting. This allowed me to get rid of some of the wheel well gap left in the front. The installation of the Bilsteins lowered the front about 3/4 inch (set on second to lowest perch setting, and raised the car about 3/4 from its "butt-sagging" condition caused by the worn struts in the back. To see pictures of my car after the install, and to see the condition of the struts I removed please visit, my Bilstein post-installation page
On this page I have posted some pictures of my Satin Silver 1998 Passat GLS sedan after installation of Eibach Pro-kit springsl. The springs supposedly lower the B5 sedan 1.2 inches in the front and rear. I completed the entire installation myself. Actually, a friend and I tackled the installation ourselves. What I meant to say is that I didn't pay anyone to install them for me. Unless of course you consider buying a friend lunch as payment. Anyway, if you want to install your own springs, please see the set of installation instructions that were sent to me by Nathan Kear. They are very informative and helped me greatly. The entire installation process took me about 6.5 to 7 hours.Well, on to the pictures!!!
Here is my car before the spring installation. Notice the amount of wheel well gap.

First of all, I would like to thank my friend Glen for helping me install the springs. Here's a couple pictures of Glen. He and I have known eachother since we were in Junior High School. That amounts to a long time. The pic on the left shows him holding up the first spring we compressed.

Here's a photo of my car up on the jack stands. Performing the installation in the dirt didn't make things much easier. This picture may look dark, but believe me, it was a really bright day!

Here's some other pics that I took at Glen's house.
