Albert Mercer Sagar was born in 1898 in Great Harwood, Lancashire, England to Cecily Emma Mercer and Mr. Sagar. He had a sister Marie (with him in pic) and a brother Harold (both of who took their step-father's name Wiliiams while Albert, who was older, kept Sagar.) Albert married Edna Eaton. Albert was the manager of the York Mill at Rishton and was also the Chairman of the Hyndburn Council and Council member from 1946-1955. Albert died in 1975 in Clayton le Moors.
