New Team, Same Ol' J.S.
Jeremy gets Contract thru Hard Work
Jeremy is currently leading the Admirals in PIMs with 22, showing his enforcer muscle and also his tough checking.  The Admirals will also gain his leadership and locker room character.  Now, Jeremy just needs to work on his scoring to get his complete game going.  Jeremy could be a great power/checking forward once his scoring comes into full force....Go Admrals!!!!
Being a Non-Roster Invitee to camp can be daunting, but the Stunner earned his way to a contract with Nashville with his aggressive play during camp and the exhibition season.  He showed the promise that made him a top Ducks prospect til injuries made them re-think their decision, going toe-to-toe with NHL stars and laying the smack down (though Lyle Odelein did get him good, but everyone is allowed a bad day).  Jeremy was recently sent down to the Milwaukee Admirals to join Ex-Ducks Chris Mason and Marc "MadDog" Moro in Beer City.
The Stunner looking good in the new colors!
JEREMY NETS FIRST GOAL!!!!!
Jeremy Stevenson netted his first goal as an Admiral vs. the Cyclones at the Bradley Center on Friday, October 20.  That brings his point total to three.  He is currently at a -3 (it winn improve) with over 40 PIM, still leading the team.  On Saturday the 21st, the Stunner came to Cincy to play the Cyclones.  Unfortunately, I was at the Ducks game, as I had made a promise to my sister to take her.  It was doubly sad because it was reported to me that Jeremy was looking for me....grrr....Well, good news.  The Admirals return in a couple of weeks and I am going to unretire the Stevenson Ducks Jersey and the Stevenson Stunner Club sign and bring them to the Cyclones' Firstar Center and display them with pride, and hopefully gain the attention of my bud, Jeremy Stevenson.  Stay tuned..Go Admirals!!!!!!!
STUNNER GETS AN A!!!
Jeremy was named as an Assistant Captain by the Admirals.  Marc Moro was named the Captain.  it is great that Jeremy's leadership skills were recognized by his new teammates.  A correction, Jeremy has two points, on one goal and an assist.  He still maintains a one minute lead in PIM, with 40.  Go Jeremy, Go Admirals!!!
NEWS FLASH-STEVENSON:  THE NEXT GENERATION!
Jeremy and Selena welcomed their first child into the world in Milwaukee on December 31, 2000.  They had a boy, and the young lad was given the name Keegan Joseph Stevenson.  Jeremy, if you are listening, I want to see baby pictures when you are in town again, chief!!!  Congratulations to two great people and who will make great parents!!!!
STUNNER STATS, THROUGH 1/2/01
Jeremy Stevenson is getting into his groove as a power forward/enforcer.  Through the first of the year, he is in the top five in PIMs in the entire IHL with 147.  He also has four goals and for assists for eight points, in limited ice time, due in part to poor coaching decisions to sit him and also to missing a few games for personal reasons (MORE ON THAT LATER).  The Admirals are surprising some folks and were the first team to defeat all 10 other IHL teams.  If the rumors are true that the IHL is folding, I hope this team gets absorbed into the AHL, because they have some great players, and especially number 12!!!
STUNNER STORY- HE CAME HOME!!!!!
Jeremy returned to Cincinnati earlier in the season, and the SSC were there to welcome him back.  We weren't sure what his reaction would be, seeing us in our Ducks stuff down at ice level (dear heaven, the psychos have found me?), but he was great, winking at us and smiling when he saw us.  After the game, he walked right up to us outside the arena and talked to us for about 20 minutes or so about everything, like how my classes were  going, the new addition to the family then on the way, and how he liked the team.  It was great to see him again, and it makes me think about what credentials are needed to teach in Wisconsin...
Jeremy Gets  the CALL TO NASHVILLE!
Jeremy was called up to Nashville toward the end of the season, to get some time to be viewed as a 4th line forward.  He fought in a few fights, gaining 19 PIM on a single play, and he also scored a goal, and earned praise from the Preds coach.  He was returned at the end of the NHL season to Milwaukee, where he will be in the IHL playoffs.  Go Jeremy!
