Stunmeister's Scouting- Gregg is an excellent goaltender in the mixed stand-up/butterfly style.  He went undrafted and was signed to a contract after having shined at the University of Alaska-Anchorage.  However, Gregg is often his own worst enemy.  When he lets in a goal, even if it is an inevitable goal (defensive mistake), Gregg often lets that stick with him and hamper his performance.  When he is on, he is practically unbeatable.  However, at this point, I do not think he has the total confidence to be a #1 netminder in the NHL.  He needs to spend another year in the AHL developing the attitude that he can stop anything, and that he will bounce back.  Sometimes has a tendency to lose focus and allow soft goals.  However, he showed vast improvement when pushed by J.S. Giguere.  The two were excellent together.  Gregg won AHL goalie of the month this past season, along with Giguere.  Together, they make a dynamite combo and give Anaheim fans some hope, rooting for a dismal team.  To Cincy fans, Gregg has been great, often giving of his time to hang out with fans.  He is a down to earth guy, but often is very shy, except during and after practices.  His postgame behavior is due in part to some bad experiences he has had with some overzealous female fans.  He is a great guy and a solid goalie.
