| Stunmeister's Scouting-- Marc can be classified as a defensive specialist. Though he at times has shown a propensity to score, he has not yet become consistent enough to rank as a scorer or two way forward. He is tall and fast, but needs to bulk up a bit. Came back from a horrific cut of the calf muscle and achilles tendon that sidelined him 8 games into his rookie AHL season. Came back and consistently saw ice time. Over his time in the AHL, has improved as a checker and has thrown body around more. Needs to grind more in front of the net to get goals. Is a great guy off the ice and spent lots of time with kids and in being an ambassador for the club in Cincy. Was named the Comeback Player of the year in Cincy after 99 campaign. Was given most improved player award in 2000. His prospects are there if he is willing to bulk up and work on his scoring a bit. A good defensive specialist who wins faceoffs, was missed in the stretch run by Cincy Ducks. Has a job in Anaheim waiting if he works hard in the off-season, and, if he re-signs with the Ducks. |
