Ducks Start Season with WIN at KY
The Mighty Ducks began the season with a great win over the T-Blades at Lexington.  Andy McDonald had two goals, with assists by B.J. Young and Marc Chouinard, and New goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere allowed only one goal in his first start for the Ducks.  Did not attend myself, but those who did said the guys looked like they had been playing together for years, as if they had already gelled.  I hope so, but this team will have growing pains, but I think we are finally on the right track, though sadly it is without the Stunner.  However, he is doing well with the Admirals, so all is not lost.  The Ducks open their home season on Oct. 14 against the same KY TBlades.  Thankfully, the inerfan feud between the teams has died a bit, with Garrett "no talent" Burnett gone.  However, the Louisville crowd (namely some Hooligans) continue to talk trash and hurl obscenities like teenagers.  We will see, we will see...GO DUCKS!
Ducks begin 5-0, fall to Bears at home......
The Ducks began the season on a tear, winning five straight and claiming first in the Southern Division.  J.S. Giguere led the way, posting a 1.00 gaa and a .967 save % in 4 games for the Ducks.  Gregg Naumenko earned the win in Albany.  Goalscorers included Petr Tenkrat, Marc Chouinard, Bobby  Wren, B.J. Young, Andy MacDonald, Chris O'Sullivan, and others.  Todd Gill has been recalled by the Red Wings, with Chris Chelios out with knee surgery.  Antti Jussi Niemi was recalled by Anaheim.  Antti Aalto rejoined the Ducks after a two season abscence in Anaheim.  The Ducks played on Sunday, October 23 vs. the Hershey Bears, coming out on fire.  They scored three goals in the first period.  From there, Hershey scored four unanswered goals off of  a rusty and below average Gregg Naumenko.  Gregg was not the only goat, as his defense did not help at all, especially Mr. Jesse Wallin, and I dare say that they helped raise Gregg's gaa.  However, Gregg did not bring his A game, something he needs to do at every opportunity to try to win back the starting job under coach Babcock.
The Ducks are at home this Friday and Saturday vs. Tom Askey and the Rochester Americans.  GO DUCKS!
