01/04/05 The holidays were all good for us. The kiddies were all happy to get GameBoys from Santa. Paul got new tires for his 4-wheeler and a plow for it. . .now he can't wait for snow!! Of course, now he wants a sled for it to pull the boys around on! I'm happy because I got "me time" for Christmas. . .nothing quite like time away from home/kids/husband to get a massage, manicure, pedicure, and tanning! We recently added 3 new members to the family - Cookie, Cupcake, & Twinkie. They are guinea pigs, and I must admit, they are pretty cute! Wrestling season has just begun for us. I'm taking the boys to Merrillville tonight to check out their club. We've been in touch with their coach and it appears they have 4 kids about the twins' weight and age who they could practice with. The Chesterton club just doesn't have anyone for them to practice with! One of the coaches from Chesterton would like Paul to help coach practices for Chesterton - so we'll have to see what happens.

11/12/04 Last weekend we took the boys down to Indianapolis and visited the Zoo and the Children's Museum. The weather was wonderful . . .70 degrees while we were at the zoo!! The boys had a blast. Paul even taught them how to do flips into the pool at the hotel. Nothing is planned for this weekend. I need to catch up on things around the house! Alex had his final appointment with the doctor treating him for his broken arm. The last X-ray showed that the arm is pretty much completely healed. He said all normal activity can be resumed. Which is good since Paul wants to have them practice for wrestling. Paul is planning on taking the boys to state this year, if they wrestle as well as they did last year. I just weighed them and the twins both weighed in at just shy of 42 lbs and Troy at 44 lbs (although he's still too young to wrestle this year). The twins wrestled at 35 lbs for most of the year last year.

10/5/04 Okay, I've been bad about putting new pictures up. . .I will add some soon! I took some, just haven't posted them yet!! We officially have our first broken bone. I'm a bit surprised it took 5 years! Alex fell down about 4 times in one week. He fell off the monkey bars twice, on the bus, and on our driveway. I think it was the driveway that did him in. He fell on Sunday 9/26. I took him for X-Rays on Monday and he got his cast on Tuesday. It's a cute cast...I'll post a picture of it soon. He opted for a red, white, & blue American Flag design (much better than the camouflage one he originally picked out). The weather has been freezing! My house was almost cold enough to see your breath last night, but I'm in cold weather denial!!! I hate to turn the furnace on, once it's on it just never seems to go back off. We have a bonfire planned for Saturday, let's hope it doesn't rain!!!!

9/20/04 After illness stricking our house house last week, I believe everyone is now healthy!! Yay! The twins rode 4-wheelers on Saturday (I took some pictures and will hopefully add them to the website tonight). The kids and I (Paul worked afternoons) went to the Seifert's for a potluck (they had some friends & family over). On Sunday, Paul worked a double, so the kids & I just hung around the house. I watched movies and they played with Play-Doh for what seemed like FOREVER. I know they played with it for at least 4 hours!! It's amazing how entertained kids can be with something so simple!! Of course, some days they'll play with Play-Doh for hours and other days 15 minutes and they're bored!! Go figure! The twins sold chocolate bars for Coolspring last week. Can you believe they sent them home with 4 boxes totalling 120 bars?! They didn't sell much, I believe they ended up with about $48.00 in sales. Oh well!!

9/13/04 We had a nice weekend. The kids spent the entire weekend with their Grandma Tami, so we were actually able to stay out late AND sleep in. Since our kids are usually up at about 6:30, that's really something to celebrate!! The Coolspring Volunteer Fire Department held its annual Fall Raffle on Saturday, so of course we attended that (free food & drinks, like we could pass that up!!). On Sunday we had a small cookout at our house. Paul cooked some burgers over a fire pit. The weather was perfect all weekend! We're planning on having at least one more good-size party before the weather gets too cool. Paul has been adding to a brush pile, so we should have a pretty large bon fire by the time we have the party. Of course, we're hoping Paulie doesn't accidentally burn this brush pile like he did our last one!! Paul's been busy doing a little bit of landscaping around the backyard and working on increasing the size of Diva's outside cage. I think he might be doing it in hopes of possibly getting a 2nd dog some time, but I've got news for him...one dog is plenty for me!!
