The Truck
This is one of my on going projects.  It is a 1968 WM300 Dodge Powerwagon, that had previously served in the Danish Military.
PROJECT  HIGHLIGHTES:
May 2002:
I received the vehicle, and evaluated the condition and needs of the truck.  It was in overall  good condition.  However, the radiator/waterpump had been removed and need to be reinstalled, as does the front bumper and its attaching hardware, and the brakes don't work.  Surprisingly the electrical system seemed to work fine (see the lights are on). That said it would not be until July 2002 that I would get it to start and run.
September 2002:
Everything was pretty much put back together, with the radiator on/working correctly the truck could be run for prolonged periods, which showed that all the gauges work, more importantly so did the generator, and surprisingly even windshield wipers worked! So having properly lubed all moving parts, we went for our first drive.  Nothing fancy, just a couple trips around the back yard, thats me driving with Dear along for the ride.  Of course it still needs brakes before we go onto the street.
July 2003:
It was nearly a year later befor the next milestone, which was to prepare the truck to attend the
Korean 50th Event.  I fixed the brakes, installed the mirrors, replaced the neccisary bulbs, and got a muffler.  Using a local garage's Repair Plate, we drove the truck to the event with out a problem.
It is 2005 and you ask what is new?  Well with in the past few years I've had to "worry about" the new house/wedding/baby so the truck has not seen much attention.  But summer of 05 seems to show a light at the end of the tunnel, all that is left to do is replace the windshield, and seat pads, and then repaint the whole thing.  Just need the time to do it....
