Kwai River
Handicrafts is a project that was set up several years ago in order to
provide a supplementary income for a small number of women in Huay Malai
village. The project is run by a Karen woman called Shirley. Jane is chairing
a committee that has recently been set up to support Shirley and help
her to try to make the project sustainable. Jane has been particularly
involved in establishing administration systems and markets. the group
are producing cross stitched pictures and goods made by traditional Karen
weaving. |
