Walk beside me
Into the land of wonder
Be my mate always

Greet me in the morn
Put me to rest in the eve
Color my world gold

The unchallenged youth displays weakness night ruling their dark senses
claim vitality of power and they are its violent warriors

Childhood adventures I enjoyed
nettles between fences where indians and pirates puncture my day I remember and laugh

The beauty of an innocent smile
Sparkle of big hurtful eyes
Scars embodied on the soul
Hearts broken by the throes
of a parent's anger

Do I look the other way?
Do I never say?
Do I drop my eyes?
Do I realize?
That an unspoken word
is another dead child.

Stuffed animals
everywhere
On the couch
the floor, the chair
Children all squatting on their knees
Why they are in here
is beside me

As I write this
every doll I must kiss
So my children know
that I still exist

The day is over
All has been spoken to you
Now fly, fly away

Bruised, battered, worn and wounded
something returned to his heart
after my arms found him...
The need to love

A simple thinker
writes fantastic stories
but, tells tales
to a barefoot farmer

My heart is dimmed by the shadow of hate
waiting for the light to dispense love

In the darkness that lays before me
I see you waiting for me
Now, I wait for the sunlight
to shine brightly
on our love.

Love can be a very strong bond between two people life has conned
