You are my stronghold when I need to get up
You have given me life from the beginning
You have held me when tears came no more
Who I am, I learned from you
Each step back you helped me forward
Walking alone I thought of you
Through sorrow you were there
Through joys you smiled with me
I have always come back to you
I come back to what you taught me
No other being has always been there
You shared every piece of your life
And every hour of each day with me
Then, I grew up and became me
With parts of you floating around
You breathed life into my soul
My breath I pass onto my own
With your soul passed to the next generation
You have gone on forever in our lives.
