On the morning of September 11, 2001, everybody in New York, Washington D.C., and the rest of the United States went on with their normal routines not knowing that this day will become the start of a new phase in the United States and the world. On that morning, nineteen Islamic extremists terrorists boarded four planes in Washington and New York about do to something that the world has never seen and start a revolution that will span the globe. This revolution would shift the focus of the Bush administration attention more towards terrorism and preventing the terrorists from doing other terrorist acts against the United States domestically or internationally. Other previous administrations, the most important the Clinton administration, dealt with terrorism in one form or another, but not as sweeping and revolutionary like the Bush administration. The Bush administration and the Congressmen and women responded to the new more serious terrorism issue with the Uniting and Strengthening America by Proving Appropriate Tools to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001 (USA PATRIOT Act). This was forged and signed into law in just a matter of a few weeks, which created a new weapon for the United States government to hunt down terrorist whether domestically or internationally.
