Should Christians Wear
Dreadlocks?
I found that scripture prohibits men from locking their hair. Apostle Paul said in  1 Cor 11:14-16 "Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? The Greek word for long is komao it is where we get the English word Comb. Komao means to wear tresses or (Dreadlocks) of hair.

Dreadlocks are traditionally associated with those of the Ras Tafari faith it symbolizes their devotion to God. They think of their hair as a crown, like the crown of their king,
Halle Selassie. Dreadlocks also symbolize the male strength of the lion. Growning Dreadlocks represent Rastas' rebelling against salvery, and the oppression of the white man. In the late 1940's, five brethren, guided by their love for the Rastafarian doctrine got together to start what would become the Youth Black Faith. These five leaders held their own on the streets. They called themselves Brother Taf, Pete, Brother Firsop, Badaman and Watson.

Rastas' smoke a power drug called
Ganja or the holy herb. When they smoke ganja they say it brings them closer to Jah or God. The smoking of Ganja is spiritual to the Rastas. It comes up from the earth and helps them to feel their true feelings smoking Ganja is a power drug it is a type of demonic communication.

Friends it does matter how we look and appear before God. It is important how we as God's children wear our hair. If we are true Christians, how we wear our hair shows what kind of light we are. I this messed up world, men in God's Church should look like men, and women in the Church should look like women as God always intended!
We are to come out of the worldnot follow after it, copy it or be a part of it. As true Christians we should never appear strange or outlandish in actions, attire or the way we wear our hair. Instead, our whole attitude should be one of modesty, humility, submission and service to God.
