"Women at Heart"
This event, organized by a parishioner of Good Shepherd will feature presentations by some New York University Hospital doctors who will talk about women's risks for heart disease and how risk factors can be eliminated or reduced. Although women are generally protected from developing heart disease by natural estrogen production in their bodies, after menopause, this protection is no longer there and women become as vulnerable as men in becoming ill from this disease.
