They had been fighting for quite awhile.
Neither of them had an advantage in the cold. They just battled it out. Both
were warm inside their armor, but the armor itself was stiff and the two could
hardly move.
Suddenly, she removed both her armor and subarmor. That way, she could move more stealthily.
‘Is she crazy?!’ he thought to himself. ‘She’ll freeze!’
“Heh. Had enough, Hardrock?” she
remarked with a smirk on her hidden face. “You know what they say: The weaker
they are, the easier to destroy!!” She charged for him
at full speed. However, as she jumped, the blizzard’s current took her. As she
flew into cold darkness, she passed out.

Ay-oh, la da day-oh
Ay-oh, la da day-oh, la di da
Kayura’s eyes cracked open
to a small fire. It seemed warmer than before. She pushed herself up slowly and
lightly, but her body felt heavy and she collapsed. Kayura
then noticed she wasn’t even outside. She was trapped inside some kind of
igloo. A very study one as well. She shifted her body more toward the fire. The
bare parts of her body were touching the sow so she felt cold.
But Kayura wanted to get out of the cold. Her
heart sank. All she wanted was out and away from the cold that almost killed
her.
Sometimes I give into sadness
Sometimes I don't
Do do-do do do
She was almost enlightened to feel the warmth of the small flame
against her skin. It felt good.
Suddenly, she heard someone enter the igloo.
“Tryin’ to use up our only fire, eh, Kayura?” A male voice came in.
Kayura whirled around to see
the owner of the voice w/ widening eyes. “H-Hardrock?
“Like it?” Kento of Hardrock
asked her, referring to the igloo. “I’ve been out workin’
on it, makin’ it sturdy.”
“Why did you put me in this shelter?” Kayura
questioned him.
“Hey! Hey! I asked you a question first!”
Kayura scowled. “It’s a nice
shelter,” she muttered.
“Better.” Kento smiled.
“Now, answer my question, Hardrock,” she
demanded.
“Heh,” Kento
stifled a laugh. “You honestly think I would follow orders from someone who
works for the dynasty?”
An annoyed expression passed Kayura’s pale
face. “Watch your language around me, Hardrock! I
don’t play nicely!”
At times I'm part of the madness
“Is that a threat?”
“Just back off.”
Sometimes I won'tGive in to you
“So why did you save me?” Kayura asked Kento, breaking the silence.
Kento stayed silent.
Kayura just waited for an
answer, but Kento remained silent. She then gave up.
You see in a wayI have been drifting down a riverTo nowhere
“Fine, don’t tell me,” Kayura mumbled under her breath before staring into the
small flame they had for heat.
And you’ve given me nothing
“In a way, I care.”
Kayura turned to the orange
armored boy. “What was that?”
“I saved you because,” Kento paused. “I
didn’t want you to die. Not in this cold.”
“Kayura remained silent until turning away.
But if you're ready to be myeverything
If you're ready to see it throughthis time
“Why?”
“Hm?”
“Why do you care, Hardrock?” Kayura questioned him.
“I dunno,” he replied.
“Hmph!
You’re no help.”
And if you're ready for love thenThis I will bringBut I'm not gonna wait for you foreverthis time
La day-da
Suddenly, they both heard a grumbling noise.
“Sorry. That was my stomach,” Kento laughed.
Kayura frowned. She obviously
didn’t think it was funny. She watched as he scraped some snow from the side of
the igloo, forming it into a little ball, packing it tightly. After that, he
took a bite out of it.
“Oh yeah! Nothin’ like a snowball in an igloo, huh?” he exclaimed.
Ay-yo, la da
day-o, la di da
Kayura soon felt a pain in her stomach, She clutched her torso area, groaning softly.
“Here.” Kento held another snowball out in
front of her. “You must be hungry.”
Kayura stalled for a moment
before taking the snowball from him. She bit a small part of it and let it melt
in her mouth before swallowing. Her stomach felt better. A lot better. She
turned to Kento, said “Thank You,” and smiled without
thinking.
At times I feel myself smiling
At times I'm not
do do do do do
She then realized what she was doing and turned away. ‘What the Hell
was that, Kayura?! He’s a Ronin
Warrior! You’re a Forbidden Armor!’
“Heh, You actually
think I didn’t see that?” Kento folded his armored
arms across his chest.
“I-I have no idea what you’re talking about, Hardrock!”
Kayura lied.
“Suuuure!”
Kento responded, sarcastically.
What's with that guilt that you're styling?
“Then why are you blushing, Kayura
of Stardust?” Kento asked, using
most of her full Forbidden Armor name.
Baby talk
Kayura froze. Was she really
blushing? She refused to believe it and stayed in denial. The truth was,
however, she was indeed blushing. Just lightly though, but
dark enough to notice.
Don't look good on you
“Tell me.”
“Hm?”
“Why do you care?” Kayura asked again.
“I dunno.” Kento
replied.
The annoyance hit Kayura again. “Oh, I know
you know why!”
You see in a way I have been looking for a reason to go there
“So tell me, Hardrock, why do you care?” Kayura asked for the third time.
“You already asked that. You need to think up a new question for me,” Kento told her.
Kayura glared. “You know, for a
Ronin Warrior, you sure are a pain in the ass, Hardrock!”
And you're leading me nowhere
“Well, I could tell you if you weren’t so bossy about it!” Kento told her. “And it’s too late to act innocent, ‘Lady’ Kayura.” He smirked at her causing her to glare back.
And if you're ready to be myeverything
‘It might be a while until he’ll tell me…’ Kayura
thought.
If you're ready to see it throughthis time
And if you're ready for love thenThis I will bringBut I'm not gonna wait for you foreverthis time
Ay-yo, la da
day-o la di da
The flame became dimmer as the air became much colder. Kayura felt a chill on her bare shoulders. But the igloo
remained silent until Kento spoke.
“You’re I here because I saved you,” he told her.
She nodded slightly. “But
why? Why did you save me?”
Are you waiting for a special occasionTo give me your heart
“Why are you asking?” Kento said in response.
“Please, Hardrock, don’t get on my bad side,”
Kayura replied.
Cause I need a little confirmationTo make a real start
“Because I
care. That’s why,” Kento told her.
“But why do you care?
Kento remained silent.
“Answer me, Hardrock!” Kayura
yelled. She obviously didn’t want to wait for Kento’s
response.
Don't wait 'till it's too late
“Oh, shit!”
Kento then realized that their
small flame they called “light” and “heat” had reduced itself to a smaller
size, limiting their hear and ability to see.
The chill came back and Kayura wrapped her
arms around herself, tightly.
Aware, Kento decided to shed his subarmor for Kayura’s sake.
He stood in front of her. No armor. No subarmor.
No shirt(!).
Are you ready to show me?
He then kneeled down beside her. “I care because…” He suddenly pulled Kayura into a warm embrace. “I don’t know why.”
“H-Hardrock…” She felt the warmth of his body
on hers. It felt good.
Are you ready to love me?
“Kayura…”
“Y-yes?”
“Call me Kento.”
He held her closer, causing her to blush slightly.
You see in a wayI have been drifting down a riverTo nowhere
“That’s all I’m asking for…”
And you're giving me nothing
“Kento…”
Kayura then let him embrace her. But as he did, she
found herself doing what she would regret more than joining the Ronin Warriors.
As the small flame subsided, Lady Kayura of
Stardust kissed Kento of Hardrock.
But if you're ready to be myeverything
If you're ready to see it throughthis time
And if you're ready for love, thenThis I will bringBut I'm not gonna wait foreverthis time
Once they broke the kiss, Kento yelled,
“Alright!!” and used his fist to break through the igloo. When they got out, it
was still icy and snowing out, but it looked beautiful.
And if you're ready to beReady to be my everythingAnd if you're ready to see it through this time
“Y’know,” Kayura
began to speak, “There is this unknown feeling lurking inside my heart.”
“Huh.”
“And it feels like a soft spot…” Kayura
paused. “…for you, Kento of Hardrock…”
“Huh?!”
If you're ready for love then, baby,
This I will bring
Kayura then fainted in Kento’s arms.
“H-H-Hey! Kayura!”
He shouted for her.
But I'm not gonna wait for you foreverthis time
Kento continued to shake her
forcibly to wake her up until he saw something. There was a smile across Kayura’s pale face. Kento wasn’t
too stupid so he knew what it meant. Love. Luckily she
was still alive. He held her closer and tighter toward him.
‘Don’t worry, Kayura. I’ll protect you. I’ll
be your shield of stone.’ With that, he carried her in his arms and trudged
through the snow.
