Before I came on Mr. Goodkind's novels I spent about four years reading Fantasy books , from which
I came out with two loves
that is J.R.R Tolkin's novels and Gay Gavriel Kay's Fionavar Tapestry,those I consider as first class Fantasy epics
, after that I spent some time with the huge Dragon Lance series and had enough compassion with Drizzet in R.A Salvator's
Dark Elf Trilogy
, although these last two series where good in every essence but they are still only good , not Excellent.
Well before few months one of my friends lent me a new fantasy book with the name of Wizard's First Rule , I was at that time just
finishing the Spirit of the Wind (((one of Dragon Lance novels))) , and as many readers know that when you finish a relatively long
book you will find a difficulty putting yourself into other one till you get entangled with the events of the later.
The Case was different with WFR from the second page I stopped forcing my self to read and started a race through the lines to find solutions for the all of a sudden group of mysteries and action,when the pace reached calmer shores I was completely entangled with the novel.
I discovered in this book the lost chain in most of the
fantasy books.You see in most of fantasy books
the male female relations take the shape of Mythical romances and the role of these romances is secondary ,
which gave me the false impression that Fantasy And romance can't meet in a good book.The best example on this is the love between Aragorn AND
Arwen in the Lord of The Rings Trilogy.In WFR I learned that I was mistaken and romance in a Fantasy book can be take the leading role
and make the fantasy book one of the best.
And for the growth of the character it was a magnificent work developing Richard form a wood guide to a seeker of truth,lover,saviour of the world
then into Lord Rahl master of the lands of D'hara then into the emperor of the D'haran empire and into a prisoner who ignited
a revolution
in the heart of his enemies territory.And surprisingly you still feel that he is still all these in one person.
I'll skip the growth of Cara the mordsith and all the others and leave it to you.
As for the combining of different elements in one work.I can mention Zeddicus Zol Zorandor for the comedy , Chase for insurance , Rachel for the innocence , Kahlan for the beauty and mystery ,Denna to be the wrong and the wronged , Darken Rahl who combines angel face and lucifer's heart .
Well the series still has more to it and i'll tell you more about it next time.

Before internet service became available in my country ,I've been kept listening for a long time to persons who tell me stories about the internet being the uncontrolled world where you can find any thing about every subject and aspect.well that is in part true but not exactly true ,you see I tried for all the last week to download one book of the Sword of Truth series for free ((for the purpose of verifying this article)) with no benefit .So I thought if Mr Terry Goodkind's books is such scarce then I should try an other so I tried Fionavar Tapestry books by Gay Kay with the same negative result .So every one who read this article and think other wise its a challenge to prove me wrong and if he or she did then I'll publish his or her victory in my page for a six months period.Contact
