| American music in the twentieth century would not have blossomed without the stellar contribution of Jewish-American composers such as Aaron Copland, Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Sondheim, and George Gershwin-and the American musical would not have flourished to the forefront of the theatrical� world without the inspired librettos of lyricists such as Oscar Hammerstein, Ira Gershwin, and Irving Berlin. MezzoVoce presents a tribute to these Jewish-American artists with a selection of favorites and standards from the classical and popular repertoire.
