| Well, my name is Amanda Meyer. I am twenty years old, I currently live in a small town in northern California called Lakeport. Some of you may have heard of it, and I'm sorry for you. Haha. Where to start? Hmm... I bas born and raised in the bay area. Grew up in Redwood City for about 10 years of my life, where I experienced some good and bad times. That period of my life has encouraged me to express myself through drawing, amongst other talents. Most of my art can be cartoon-like, and unrealistic. The drawings that end up cartoon-like are planned, but the one's that are a little sloppier or unrealistic are not. I just grab a pencil and a sheet of paper and it comes out that way. I don't use expensive untensils, or paper. Actually my mother just got me my first sketch pad a few weeks ago. It's pretty sad, I know, but I have to work with what I've got. Although if I could afford the more expensive stuff, I would. I've tried out Prisma Colors colored pencils, which work WONDERS for coloring. All I have are Crayola's...but hey, they work. Eventually I'll have all the right stuff to create some beautiful drawings. I would like to start painting, that has been an interest of mine for years. I would like to discover what I can do with a paintbrush. I've heard it is quite different from drawing. When I start, ofcorse I'll put them on here for you all to enjoy and maybe comment on. I also play guitar, and write poetry. My poems are more personal than my artwork, but maybe I'll get up the guts to put those on here too. For now, I want to see what you all think of my artwork. Recently, within the past 5 months, I have discovered a great artist whom I enjoy alot. His name is Alex Pardee and he is my new inspiration. I encourage you to check out his artwork at EyeSuckInk.
