| The TEQUILA ASSOCIATES JALISCO (TAJ) is a relatively new, non-fee, organization that has been formed for the sole purpose of assisting those foreign companies that are interested in importing tequila from Mexico. TAJ represents a growing number of tequila distilleries and offers a wide variety of services to assist these companies to initiate their new endeveaur while not having to concern themselves with all of the legal and technical problems that a startup business sometimes encounters when dealing with a foreign country. The TAJ operations are centered in the state of Jalisco- heart of the tequila-producing agave fields and many fine tequila distilleries. If your company plans include the importation of tequila from Mexico, TAJ can make this objective become a problem-free reality. |

| To replace the time-consuming chore of traveling to several different tequila distilleries to taste and price the many different tequilas available, TAJ brings the samples to a central meeting office in Guadalajara. Here, the customer can taste the various qualities of tequilas at his leisure, consider the pricing of each, and make the decision as to with which distillery he wishes to do business. Once the decision has been made, a TAJ representative will then take the customer to that particular distillery where details can be finalized. If your plans include the use of your own custom-designed bottles, TAJ can be most instrumental in finding the bottle manufacturer that offers the most reasonable prices. For customers that intend to private-label their imported tequila, TAJ can assist in the design and printing of same, while assuring that the labels include all of the information required by Mexican law. TAJ will assist customer with travel plans- meeting customer at airport, hotel and restaurant recommendations etc. when visiting Guadalajara to pursue his business transactions. The import/export of Mexican tequila is stringently controlled and governed by the C�mara De Tequila (the national tequila association). Nonconformity to these rules and laws can result in the revocation of the business license of the tequila distillery and cancellation of the permits which allow the foreign company to import tequila. TAJ will supply customer with all legal and business forms that are required by Mexican law. Tequila Associates Jalisco does not charge a fee for these services. |
