The TAESA Case.

On November 7th,1999 a DC-9 belonging to TAESA, a Mexican airline linked both to drug dealing and to Carlos Hank, a powerful politician member of the PRI, crashed near Uruapan, in the State of Michoac�n, M�xico, killing 18 people. Two days later, the Mexican Ministery of Communications and Transportation (MCT) declared the cause of the accident couldn't have been an explosion within the engines "because the plane was going too fast when it crashed". They said this despite the declarations of witnesses who heard the explosions from the plane before it crashed. They said this despite the accusations of lack of proper maintenance by TAESA employees, already printed in the Reforma newspaper. They said this despite the declararion of a passenger of that deadly flight who traveled from San Diego CA to Guadalajara. The woman said the plane was making almost continuosly "strange, ugly noises", and that the crew was very scared.
Now (December 11th,1999), pretended experts of the MCT claim the cause of the crash was a "Human error". They say most of the TAESA aircrafts are in "optimal conditions", and that those that need repairs have only unimportant failures. The pretended experts pay no attention to the ship's secret log in which there are detailed descriptions of severe failures in the equipment and its maintainance.
Is it necessary another air crash to make further investigations? Remember the TAESA planes fly to and from U:S: airports, and transport American, Canadian and Mexican nationals. It would be very suspicious if the Air Transport authorities of the United States don't check it out this issue properly and taking care of all the information regarding it.
.The Laguna Verde Danger.

Alejandro Calvillo, Chairman of Greenpeace Mexico, informed about the following facts regarding a Government-owned nuclear installation:
+There is huge corruption within the nuclear power plant: During 1999, the Mexican Contralory disabled 10 high officials of the Laguna Verde Nuclear Power Plant, including its General Director and its Administrative Manager.
+There have been over 60 accidents at the Laguna Verde Nuclear Power Plant.
+On October 12th, 1999 there was another accident: A water leak. The nuclear core almost got exposed
+WANO (World Association of Nuclear Operators), a pro-nuclear international organism has checked Laguna Verde and has qualified it 4, unsafe.
+Greenpeace has asked the Mexican Government for an external auditorship made by a neutral organisation. The Mexican Government strongly refuses to authirize such auditorship.
What is hidding the corrupt Mexican Government. There are two possibilities:
First: The plant is terribly unsafe, beyond qualification.
Second and most worrying: The corrupt managers of the nuclear plant HAVE SOLD NUCLEAR FUEL TO ILLEGAL WEAPONS DEALERS, OR TO A TERRORIST STATE.
It is sure that as long as there is no external intervention to constrain the tremendous corruption in the PRI-controlled Mexican Government, corruption will always be a menace to the U.S. National Security, to the World security and financial stability, and to the lives and healths of millions of Americans: A radiation leak at Laguna Verde -which model is almost the same than that of Chernobyl, the Soviet Power Plant that had an accident and sent a radiactive cloud over the entire Europe- will cause millions of cancer cases both in the United States and Mexico. And a nuclear weapon made with Mexican plutonium could destroy Washington, New York, Los Angeles or Miami. If it's complimented with "Heavy water", the destruction would be much worse.
