The Historic Centre is the most ancient zone of Mexico City and also is the one that have some of the most appreciated artistic treasures not only of Mexico but of the world. Is a neighborhood of streets that invite us to travel to the past and remember its splendor times, times when carriages transport in their interiors viceroys and important civil employees while merchants, friars, elegant ladies and handcrafters work and walk through the beautiful and famous streets of of "The City of Palaces", the surename of Mexico City in times of Alexander Von Humboldt.
Very interesting architectural jewels are located in the Mexico City's Historic Centre like the Metropolitan Cathedral (that was constructed in three centuries), because of that, this fantastic temple has all the artistic styles of each century, mixing in the same building, renaissance art, neoclassical and baroque. Only a few steps of the cathedral, around the "zocalo" (that is the main square of the city and the second largest square of the world after the Red Square of Moscow), are located the buildings of the National Palace (seat of the presidential offices) and the Building of the City Hall. These buildings conform one of the most harmonious urban complexes of the continent.

Walking to the "Alameda Central" park's zone, on 5 de Mayo street, we can find some of the best examples of neoclassical architecture of the Americas, buildings that in their splendor times, were seat of the most important mercatile empires of the city. Very close to there, on Tacuba street, we can see very traditional places like El Cafe Tacuba, a very pleasant restaurant, with mexican decoration and with some the delights of the authentic mexican food like an Enchiladas Potosinas or Chicken with mole. On that street is The Tols Square, a majestic place with important buildings like the National Arts Museum, that is one of the Historic Centre's most beautiful buildings, and the Palacio de Mineria, with its neoclassical elegant lines. Next to the Palacio de Minera is the splendid Postal Palace, a building of indescribable elegance that remember us some of the great Venice palaces, and in its interior we marvel at the magnificent stairs and the fine decoration of the halls.

Just in front of the Postal Palace, crossing Lazaro Cardenas Avenue, we find the marvelous Fine Arts Palace one of the most beautiful concert halls of the world, with its impressive sculptures and Art Nouveau in the exterior and the sober elegancy of its interior Art Deco, that mix its simple lines and geometric forms with prehispanic details. In front of this palace, on the corner of Lazaro Cardenas Avenue and Juarez Av. and the wonderful square recently renewed with pretty fountains and colorful gardens, where we can see one of the most symbolic buildings of the city, the Torre Latinoamerica, the first skyscraper of Mexico City and in its time of construction, the tallest building of Latin America. This tower has in its cuspide a viewpoint, where you can see a fantastic view of the city.
