The three cultures square is one of the places when we can appreciate easily the diferent epoques of the Mexico's history, because in it are fusionated the prehispanic, colonial and modern times, in an awesome architectonical group integrated by aztec pyramids, a church and skyscrapers.
This square is located in the place that previously occupied the important market of Tlatelolco, the twin city of Tenochtitlan that provided of different products the aztec capital, but when the spanish conquers arrived, the pyramid was parcially destroyed and over it was built a curch and a convent. But was until the 1950's when the goverment decided to resuce the prehispanic ruins and created a archictectonical group in which were seen the history of Mexico, ordering the project to the important mexican architect Mario Pani, who designed this square like a part of big habitational develop. The square took importance during 1968 when the mexican students protested against the Vietnam war, but they were tragically dispersed by the army.

Being like is, a crucible of the History of Mexico, this place had seen the transformation of Mexico through the centuries since the prehispanic epoque until our days. This place is near to the Historic Dowtown and you can go ther by the Tlatelolco subway station or the Eje Central Avenue.
