Primera placa gráfica del Distrito Federal (donde se encuentra la Ciudad de México), 2002. Números verdes sobre dorado claro reflejante. Fondo: dibujo del famoso Ángel, dorada figura femenina de 7 metros, símbolo de la ciudad. Abajo: der.- escudo del distrito en verde. Sólo los números están realzados. Conocido popularmente como El Angel este monumento es oficialmente llamado Columna de la Independencia (45 metros). Representa la Victoria y fue construido en 1910 para celebrar el centenario de México. La base es un mausoleo, tumba de muchos héroes de la Guerra de Independencia: Hidalgo, Morelos, Guerrero, Aldama, Allende y otros. El Angel tiene en sus manos una corona de laurel y una cadena rota. Durante un terremoto en julio de 1957 el Angel cayó y se rompió. Uno nuevo fue puesto después. No estoy seguro pero me parece que el nuevo ángel tiene una cara y peinado ligeramente diferentes, según unas fotos que he visto. Y el ángel mostrado en las placas parece ser el antiguo! Popularly known as El Angel (The Angel) this monument is officially called Columna de la Independencia (Independence Column [45 m = 147 ft]). It represents the Victory and was built in 1910 to celebrate Mexico's centennial. During an earthquake in July 1957 the Angel fell and broke. A new one was put in place later. I'm not sure but I think the new angel has a slightly different face and haircomb, according to some pictures I have seen. And the angel depicted on the plates seems to be the old one!

	1999? - Taxi. Negro sobre blanco reflejante. Abajo: franja verde. Los hay con sólo 2 letras: series L (libre, taxi que se puede abordar en cualquier punto) y S (sitio, los que parten de una base). 	1999? - Autobús. Negro sobre blanco reflejante. Abajo: franja amarilla. Usada por autobuses que operan sólo en el DF (ver abajo). 1999? - Bus. Black on reflecting white. Bottom: yellow ribbon. Used by buses which operate only in DF (see below).
	1998 - Café sobre blanco reflejante. RARA placa de autobús emitida conjuntamente por 2 autoridades, Distrito Federal (DF) y Estado de México (Edo Mex). Arriba: Transporte Metropolitano, autoriza a los autobuses a operar en el área metropolitana de la Ciudad de México, a ambos lados de la linea limítrofe. Centro: franja amarilla, pienso que representa el límite. Abajo: centro - una M de microbús. Los tres primeros dígitos son el número de autobús, los segundos tres dígitos son el número de ruta. Las letras centrales (NA en este caso) son la abreviatura del municipio del Estado de México en el cual pueden circular. Algunas abreviaturas son: E = Ecatepec, CH = Chalco, NA = Naucalpan, NE = Nezahualcóyotl. Pronto más información. 1998 - Brown on reflecting white. Top: Transporte Metropolitano, authorises buses to operate on Mexico City's metropolitan area, on both sides of the borderline. Center: yellow ribbon, I think it represents the border. Bottom: center - an M, for microbus. The first three digits are the bus number, the second three digits are the route number. Central letters (NA in this case) are the abbreviation of the county of the State of Mexico on which the bus can operate.
