In the Greenhorn mountains of central California lives Irving Buttonwillow. Right at the top of a craggy peak he makes his home, his only living made by selling the moonshine he distills in his clifftop shed. The locals buy gallons of his fine hand-crafted spirits for their weddings and parties, and claim it is the world's most potent tonic for everything from gout to headlice. Irving never partakes of the sweet liquor himself, as the thin mountain air keeps him quite psychedelic as it is.
