Total Destiny
Chapter 2
"Ash, where should we start looking?" Misty asked Ash.
"I honestly have no idea. I’ve never seen this place before in my life," Ash replied.
"Pika Pi chu Pikachu (Well, we need to hurry! Who knows what they’re doing to her...) Pikachu told them.
"Pikachu’s right. We need to find Serena. Even though we just met her, she’s a friend, and we need to rescue her!" Brock said.
"Yeah! Let’s go!" Ash shouted. The four of them, Ash, Misty, Brock, and Pikachu, raced toward the building that held their friend captive.

Shadows jumped at Serena. She had no clue what they were; they just seemed like shadows. Suddenly a tremendous force knocked the wind out of her. She felt a sharp pain in her side as she was thrown against the hard floor. I…am…in…deep…trouble…She thought. Please…someone…anyone…please help me!!!
Then a wave of force flung the shadows away. They started to fall to the ground, lifeless. Giovanni was obviously surprised. Serena stood up and turned around to come face-to-face with a tall form.
"You called?" it asked. She looked up, saw who it was, then fainted. That was the last thing she remembered.

"Wait! You guys, what’s that?" Misty said as she stopped running.
"What’s what?" Ash asked her. Misty didn’t say anything, but pointed up towards the sky. They all watched the sky as a blue streak flew across the sky. An explosion suddenly racked their brains. It was like a ton of bricks had suddenly fallen on their heads. They all held their heads in pain until wave stopped. They glanced up at the sky again, but the blue streak had gone.

"Huh…….where am I?" Serena groaned as she awoke. She glanced up and took a look of where she was. She saw the walls of a cave.
"So, you’re awake," the voice said. Serena sat up. She tried to see who was speaking, even though she truly knew who it was, but she could see nothing.
"Who are you?" She asked.
"I am Mewtwo," Mewtwo said.
"Mewtwo? THE Mewtwo?" Serena blinked. OH…MY…GOD…I’m in the presence of the most powerful pokemon in the world. I should be very scared, but…for some reason, my body feels calm. My brain’s freaking out though. But that’s no different than usual.
"Uh…yes…I guess. But please, call me just Mewtwo," he said. "I sent you a dream about a week ago, to contact you, but you didn’t respond."
"Well…I just thought that it was a dream I had. I didn’t think that it had a purpose. Anyway, why try to contact me? I’m just a pathetic person who can’t remember her own past."
"A while back, I heard that the scientists who created me created another genetic pokemon. Since then, I’ve been searching for it. I don’t want it to go what I’ve gone though. I feel a high amount of psychic power in you, Serena. Way too much to be in a human. So I think you might be a pokemon. The pokemon I’ve been searching for."
Serena didn’t know what to think. She just sat there with a blank expression on her face. I could read her mind, to tell what she’s thinking, but that would be wrong. She needs to keep her own thoughts. Mewtwo thought. Meanwhile, Serena was thinking. Me? A pokemon? How can that be? Why…how? I don’t believe it…but…I guess it does make sense.
"How, if I were a pokemon, did I get into human form?" Serena asked him.
"Although many don’t know it, all pokemon have the ability to change into human form when they’re sad, scared, angry, or just for defense," Mewtwo said as he changed into a human. Whoa…that’s amazing. Hey, he’s really cute. No, shake out those thoughts. He’s here to help me, not for anything else. Serena thought, blushing. "You might have forgotten when you were knocked unconscious. You projected your last thought right before I rescued you. That’s how I knew were to save you. I teleported to the lab," Mewtwo explained.
"But what about my friends? They were outside when all this happened. Do you think they’re okay? I need to go back to them. I can’t just abandon them. They took care of me," Serena said softly.
"Who are your friends?" Mewtwo asked, changing back into his normal form.
"Ash Ketchum from Pallet, his pokemon Pikachu, Brock, the gym leader from Pewter, and Misty; the gym leader from Cerulean City," Serena replied. Oh no!!! Not those people again!!! I thought that I would never have to deal with THEM again!!! Mewtwo thought. "Mewtwo, are you okay?" Serena asked him, worried.
"I’m fine," Mewtwo said coldly.
"Okay…geez. I was just asking. No need to be mean about it. Anyway, why don’t you travel with us?" Serena asked. "I mean, you must be pretty lonely here all be yourself."
"I don’t know…I mean, if I went with you, people would see me, and…well…I’m not exactly the most common pokemon in the world…" Mewtwo said. "I also don’t care for humans that much."
"Not all humans are bad, Mewtwo. Just a large amount of them. It is true that many humans would probably try to capture you, but what if you changed into human form for a little while?" Serena suggested.
"I still don’t know. What would happen if someone should discover who I am?" Mewtwo asked. Serena just laughed.
"Mewtwo, no one would ever discover who you are. When you transformed a few minutes ago, I had no idea who you were. You looked similar, but I still couldn’t tell," she told him.
"I guess I’ll go. But what’s the purpose of me going?" he asked her.
"You know, I could be just some kid who was knocked unconscious by a wild pokemon in Viridian Forest. If I don’t turn out to be that genetic pokemon you are looking for, then you could look for it when we’re traveling. It would be better than sitting here waiting for a sign of where it is. So please, please come with me. I’m sure the others won’t mind," Serena said. She looked up at him. He looked down at her. Suddenly Mewtwo sighed.
"Okay, I guess I’ll go," he said to her. "Let’s get ready to go, then." The two walked out of the cave and on to a beach. "Climb up on my back. I can’t teleport us both, so we’ll have to fly." Serena climbed up onto his back. Mewtwo rose off of the ground and they flew away into the horizon.

Major cliff-hangerage, huh people? Will Mewtwo ever find this "new genetic pokemon?" I know this was a short chapter, but I’ll make it up to you…
