Punishing the Disbelievers (Kuffar) - A Response

When will you people ever stop with your outright lies and misinterpretation of Islam. All that you are saying can be EASILY dispelled. Pay attention and watch how easily I dispell your lies and I am just an average Muslim and not even a scholar.

1. You claim the following: "According to the Qur’an, denying a Messenger of God in spite of being convinced about his veracity is something which deserves severe punishment both in this world and in the Hereafter since this is tantamount to deliberately denying the Almighty Himself."

Now let's contrast that with a few verses where Quran states clearly what the mission of the prophet is in regards to those who deny him or his message:

(We sent them) with Clear Signs and Books of dark prophecies; and We have sent down unto thee (also) the Message; that thou mayest explain clearly to men what is sent for them, and that they may give thought.
But if they turn away, thy duty is only to preach the clear Message. (16:44,82)

Say: "Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger. but if ye turn away, he is only responsible for the duty placed on him and ye for that placed on you. If ye obey him, ye shall be on right guidance. The Messenger's duty is only to preach the clear (Message).
The Messengers say: "Our Lord doth know that we have been sent on a mission to you: "And our duty is only to proclaim the clear Message." (24:54, 36:16,17)

Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things. (2:256)

The Quran is very clear about the role of the Messengers and what actions are to be taken if someone don't believe. Your lies have no basis in fact and again just a few verses from the Quran can easily dispell them.

2. You state: "The worldly punishment of the Disbelievers (Kuffar) was carried out by the Almighty in two ways: Either He directly destroyed them Himself through disasters and calamities or by His Messengers and their Companions (rta) -- who in this exercise were no more than agents of His retribution."

First of all the Quran refers to Christians and Jews either as Christians and Jews or People of the Book. The term Kuffar means one who is a rejector of truth and is actively doing evil. In the Bible it talks about how Pharoah was drowned pursuing Moses in the Red Sea, how the flood during Noah's time drowned the evil doers, how David slew Goliath and the Philistines, how Samson destroyed his enemies by causing a whole building to collapse on them, how the people in Soddom and Ghomora were punished by God, and I could go on and on with more examples. The point being made by both Quran and Bible is that evil people will be punished by God for their evil deeds. Whereas for Christians, Jews and anyone who believe in God and works deeds of righteousness the Quran explicitly says in numerous places that they will be rewarded from God.

The correct translation of the verse you quoted is as follows:

Each one of them We seized FOR HIS CRIME: of them, against some We sent a violent tornado (with showers of stones); some were caught by a (mighty) Blast; some We caused the earth to swallow up; and some We drowned (in the waters): It was not Allah Who injured (or oppressed) them:" They injured (and oppressed) their own souls. (29:40)

I emphasized "FOR HIS CRIME" to show that the punishment being meted out by God were for evil deeds committed and not for being people of different beliefs.

3. The correct translations of the verses you quoted are as follows:

Will ye not fight people who violated their oaths, plotted to expel the Messenger, and took the aggressive by being the first (to assault) you? Do ye fear them? Nay, it is Allah Whom ye should more justly fear, if ye believe! Fight them, and Allah will punish them by your hands, cover them with shame, help you (to victory) over them, heal the breasts of Believers...(9:13,14)

It is not ye who slew them; it was Allah. when thou threwest (a handful of dust), it was not thy act, but Allah's: in order that He might test the Believers by a gracious trial from Himself: for Allah is He Who heareth and knoweth (all things).(8:17)

The Quran gives Muslims the just right to fight against those who fight against us. I know you Jews would like us to turn the other cheek so that we will be easily dominated by you crooked bastards. You are upset over that and rather than quote the full text of what the Quran says so that others will see the full meaning, you divert and take things out of context to satisfy your maligning of Islam. As Jesus said "Thy Will be done." When a Muslim fights for justice and for what God wants it is the same as if God Himself is doing the fighting. The Muslim who is submitting his will to do God's Will is then not acting from himself but from God's directions. God then becomes responsible for his actions.

4. You state: "The court of justice which will be set up for every person on the Day of Judgement was set up for the nations of Messengers in this world so that the latter could become a visual testimony to the former. The Qur’an at numerous instances has used this argument to substantiate the reward and punishment in the Hereafter."

In Islam the role of the Prophets is to deliver clear messages from God. God is All Knowing, All Powerful and All Seeing. He does not need the Prophets or Messengers to provide visual testimony for Him. He can do that for Himself. The correct translation of the verses you quoted from chapter 69 is :

1. The Sure Reality!
2. What is the Sure Reality?
3. And what will make thee realise what the Sure Reality is?
4. The Thamud and the 'Ad People (branded) as false the Stunning Calamity!
5. But the Thamud,- they were destroyed by a terrible Storm of thunder and lightning!
6. And the 'Ad, they were destroyed by a furious Wind, exceedingly violent;
7. He made it rage against them seven nights and eight days in succession: so that thou couldst see the (whole) people lying prostrate in its (path), as they had been roots of hollow palm-trees tumbled down!
8. Then seest thou any of them left surviving?
9. And Pharaoh, and those before him, and the Cities Overthrown, COMMITTED HABITUAL SIN.
10. And disobeyed (each) the apostle of their Lord; so He punished them with an abundant Penalty.
11. We, when the water (of Noah's Flood) overflowed beyond its limits, carried you (mankind), in the floating (Ark),
12. That We might make it a Message unto you, and that ears (that should hear the tale and) retain its memory should bear its (lessons) in remembrance...

Again the Quran is talking about the punishment meted out to Pharoah, Noah's people and others who committed habitual sin. These same stories can be found in the Bible.

5. You conclude by stating, "So it can be concluded that since a Messenger reveals the basic truths in their ultimate form and those who deny it do so because of their stubbornness and even confess their sins, a Messenger has the perfect justification to punish his people after they have denied him."

This is a total fabrication and outright lie on Islam. As shown above the duty of a Messenger is to deliver a clear message. It is God who punishes and rewards. The Prophets are also witnesses for what the people do, but God is not dependent upon them for knowledge. Muslims were never taught to attack others because they don't believe in Islam. The Quran teaches and the example of the Prophet was to show tolerance and understanding to people of different faiths. It was because of the good treatment of Muslims to people of other faiths that whole communities even Jews converted to Islam throughout history. During the life of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) the battles fought were for justice and defensive. When victory was won as in Makkah he forgave his enemies and established relationships of mutual respect with them. As a result of the kind merciful treatment his enemies recived they became Muslims.

Mr. Jew I know it is your mission in life to lie about Islam. You fear it and it must be suppressed. But please know that just as light dispells darkness truth will dispell falsehoods. So please stop. You are only helping more people to accept Islam.

Lastly, I will quote a verse from the Quran that I have quoted often before. The question you should ask yourself Mr. Jew after reading this verse, is why would God promise heaven to others who are not Muslims if Muslims are to destroy those who don't believe as Muslims do?:

Those who believe (in the Qur'an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,- any who believe in God and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve. (2:62)
