CHARACTERS

BUFFY: Obviously, the main character. She has starred in all of the episodes so far, bar one or two. She has died twice, once at the hands of THE MASTER (Via drowning), and once at the hands of GLORY (Via suicide).
Buffy is a Vampire Slayer, but not the only one, due to the fact she has died and another was called. (See FAITH)

GILES: Giles is BUFFY 's watcher, presiding over her for nearly all of the episodes, but towards the present episodes, as ANYA puts it, he keeps on nearly going, but then doesn't. Giles is no longer officially BUFFY 's watcher, but still acts as though he is. Giles was once involved with JENNY, before ANGELUS killed her.

XANDER: Xander is probably BUFFY 's best friend, apart from maybe WILLOW. Xander is definitely the rock of the Scoobies, supporting them in times of need. Often seen as the stupid one at the beginning of BTVS, he seems to have matured. Was involved with WILLOW and CORDELIA, and, for a brief moment, FAITH. He once fancied BUFFY.

WILLOW: Willow is a fully fledged witch, which is not the blessing it first seems. Whilst often dangerous with her magic, Willow is definitely the smartest and most sensible of the group. Willow was once involved with TARA before she was murdered by WARREN, causing her to go on a magical rampage, only being stopped by the combined efforts of GILES and XANDER.Willow is deeply protective of BUFFY.

DAWN: Dawn is BUFFY 's sister, placed there by monks. The monks, realising that she was the Key that could return the hell god GLORY back to her own dimension, leaving a wake of destruction behind in ours, turned her into a human and wove her into BUFFY 's memories so that she would protect her. GLORY eventually found Dawn, leading to BUFFY 's suicide.

SPIKE: Spike is a vampire friend of BUFFY 's. He was originally known as William the Bloody, but got the nickname Spike because of the way he drove railway spikes through his victims. SPIKE originated in Sunnydale as DRUSILLA 's boyfriend. The two of them were highly destructive, tormenting ANGEL, killing the ANNOINTED ONE, calling forth the JUDGE, and eventually helping ANGELUS bring the demon Acathla to life. Spike allied with Buffy to stop ANGELUS destroying the world, and so forth DRUSILLA left him. At the start of Season 4, Spike returned as HARMONY's boyfriend, and was captured by the Initiative, led by MAGGIE WALSH and RILEY, who put a chip in his head disallowing him to harm humans. Spike then allied with ADAM, who promised to destroy the chip, and tried to split the Scoobies apart for him. Spike ended up working with the Scoobies against ADAM. In Season 5, Spike began to grow infatuated with Buffy, and became attatched to DAWN, and was nearly the most upset when BUFFY died at the hands of GLORY. Spike was tortured by GLORY, and managed to earn BUFFY 's respect by not telling her about DAWN being the Key, but lost that again in Season 6 when he tried to rape BUFFY. Spike is widely seen as the funniest member of the series for his wisecracking antics. Spike has killed two Slayers in his time, but if his infatuation with BUFFY continues, this could turn into three...

ANGEL/ ANGELUS:Angel is the original vampire with a soul. He began his life as a lowlife in Ireland, before he was sired by DARLA. He then became obsessed with DRUSILLA, driving her insane by first telling her that her visions were evil, and then brutally murdering her family. He then sired her, and for years, the three of them went on a rampage, being hunted down by the vampire hunter Holtz, and having SPIKE join their ranks. But one day, Angel killed a gypsy, causing her family to give him a soul. He reclused, haunted by memories of what he had done, until he was picked up by the demon Whistler, who showed him BUFFY. He had to protect her, and gave her hints of what the MASTER was up to, until they fell in love, and Angel vamped out in front of her. BUFFY got over this, and together, they killed the MASTER. But, in Season 2, SPIKE and DRUSILLA came to Sunnydale, still together after all this time. On DRUSILLA's birthday, SPIKE brought together the pieces of the JUDGE, and BUFFY and Angel were almost killed by him. They went back to Angel's place, and had a passionate night of happiness, changing him into the souless Angelus. JENNY Calendar, Giles' lover, and a member of the gypsy clan of the girl Angel killed, had known that this would happen if he had one moment of true happiness, and was shunned by BUFFY and the Scoobies. She tried to undo this, but needed to translate the original spell on her computer. One night, alone in Sunnydale High, she managed to do this, and saved it on a floppy disk and took it from the computer.Then Angelus was there. He killed JENNY, destroyed the computer, the printout and the Orb of Thesulah JENNY needed for the spell, but the floppy disk fell down the side of JENNY's desk and the knowledge of the spell was still there... Angelus began torturing BUFFY with love letters, pictures of her asleep and such, until BUFFY did a spell to keep him out of the house. He also jeered at SPIKE, trapped in a wheelchair, and flirted with DRUSILLA. SPIKE was getting really resentful, and one day, freed himself from his wheelchair. WILLOW, who had been taking JENNY's classes, was tutoring BUFFY one day, when BUFFY dropped a pencil down the side of JENNY's desk and had deja-vu when she reached for it. Looking down the side of the desk, she saw the floppy disk there, and WILLOW put it in her computer and discovered the spell. Meanwhile, across town at the mansion Angelus, DRUSILLA and SPIKE were staying at, DRUSILLA was having visions of a strange box across town, and the thing that lay inside it. They stole the box, and opened it to find the demon Acathla inside it, turned to stone by a sword through his heart, but capable of swallowing the world once awakened by someone worthy. KENDRA arrived in Sunnydale, and allied with BUFFY, suggesting that ANGELUS should be killed, and giving BUFFY her stake, Mr Pointy. Angelus called BUFFY across town to the cemetry, but, when she got there, telling her that this wasn't about her. BUFFY realised that the Scoobies were in danger, and began to tear back to the Library. Meanwhile, there, WILLOW was beginning the spell to restore Angel's soul, watched over by KENDRA when DRUSILLA burst in with her vampire lackeys. DRUSILLA hypnotised KENDRA, and slashed her throat, while her vampire buddies knocked out the rest of the Scoobies, except CORDELIA, who ran away, and dragged GILES back to Angelus. Buffy arrived at the Library far too late to save anyone, and was sobbing over KENDRA when the police and PRINCIPAL SNYDER burst in. Buffy ran off amidst a hail of bullets from the police, and went to the hospital to see the Scoobies.
