Dragon Ball Z: Budokai
Platform: PS2
Rated: T "teen"
One of the greatest action cartoons in the world is no doubt DBZ and PS2 has a peice of the action. This game features over 20 original DBZ characters including Cell, Gohan, Hercule, and of course Goku. This game has some interesting modes including story mode. Story mode is the best mode in the game. In story mode, you play your way through the different DBZ sagas including the android saga and getting skills and characters. The most interesting part of story mode is that it answers the question. What will happen if the bad guys win over Goku? Another good mode is the edit skills mode which is that you can create your own set of moves and abilities from what you bought and won. You can win money, characters, and the seccret mode in the world tournament mode. The environments in the game are pretty neat yet highly interactive, for example if you hit a person off the edge of the earth's lookout post it deals a whole lot of damage. Also what's DBZ without going super saiya-jin (pronounced, say in), you could do that perform major attacks like piccolo's special beam cannon if your power level is high enough and you can do those high speed rapid punch and kick duels. There are a few downsides to the game. One of them is that you cant do a two out of three fight matches and the characters are a bit slow at first. The controls are easy to get used to. The graphics portray the characters very well. And the sound is very good including the voices. If your a fan of DBZ this is a game to check out, if your not still check it out and watch DBZ on Cartoon Network.

The Score:
Sound: 3.5
Controls: 3.0
Graphics: 3.0
Gameplay: 4.0
