The voice of Trelanes mother sounds very familiar. Could it be the voice of the lady in Platos Stepchildren????

Story:

The Enterprise is captured by an alien being called Trelane who is equipped with a wide variety of powers that enable him to manipulate the world around him. Having grown bored and lonely, he has chosen Kirk and his crew to stay on his world to provide him with entertainment. Coming across as an impudent child (and turning out to be just that), Trelane grows furious when Kirk disrupts his plans, and he puts humanity on trial. The only thing that saves Kirk and the ship is Trelanes "parents" calling him in from play. (copied off the web with edits)

factoids:

Colony beta 6:  Enterprise destination (unknown mission) when intercepted by Trelane.

Gothos: a lone unrecorded planet in the star desert with a natural toxic atmosphere without the influence of Trelane.

Classification of Trelane for the record:
Kirks version: God of War, a small boy and a very naughty one at that.

Spocks version: Pure mentality, force of intellect, embodied energy, super being.

Quotes:
"You must try harder, captain. This is too easy."
====
"Mr. Spock. You do have one saving grace. You're ill mannered."
====
"You shall be hanged by the neck until you are dead, dead, dead."
