Story:
Ambassador Robert Fox is on board the Enterprise to establish diplomatic relations with Eminiar 7. They warn the enterpise to go away but they have strict orders to go in anyway and find out what happened to a federation ship that disappeared here and why there are so many reported deaths. Eminiar and Vendikar, the third planet have been engaged in a 500 year war, waged by computers. The Enterprise having entered their space becomes a target and is theoretically destroyed. The crew is ordered to report to disintegration chambers like the natives do, without question. Kirk uses his wit to show the Eminiarans that real war is a messy business and they should negotiate for peace instead of conducting this computerized war.

Tricobalt satallite explosion is what supposedly hit and destroyed the Enterprise

Spock uses the Vulcan mind touch to escape jail by 'suggesting' to the guard that they excaped.

Disrupters- weapons that do not emit any visible 'rays' like phasers. Their phasers were confiscated so they used disrupters mostly.
