What is an indigenous architect?
An indigenous architect, could be someone who works primarily with materials "native" to the site, or the region of the buildings, or it could be a way to describe someone who works in the cult-
ural vocabulary of a distinctive locality.  Bruce Goff loved the challenge of working with materials
that others had "discarded" as completely worthless.  In this regard, he came very close to defining
a truly indigenous 'depression-era' organic architecture.  No client was for him to small, and no aspirations were too lofty a goal...   ...in spite of what budgetary restrictions stood in the way.
Indigenous architecture is actually very close to the definition of "organic" architecture, for both
of them draw heavily upon the unchangeable pallate of nature surrounding the built environment.
