OBJECTIVE:
Game Controls
Control Stick: Use this to walk around.  You will have plenty of time to experiment with this when you land on the Space Frigate Orpheon.

Jumping = B: After you get the space jump boots, you will be able hit B to jump again in mid air.

Beam Weapon = A: This is used to fire your primary arm cannon weapon, the power beam.  This is also used to fire the wave beam, ice beam, and plasma beam once you aquire them.
---Charge Beam: Hold A to charge your beam weapon, and release to fire.

Missile = Y: Missiles are your secondary weapon.  Best if locked on to an enemy.
---Missile Combo: Once you get the charge beam and the super missile, or another missile combo, you can charge your beam weapon and then press Y to fire a very powerful attack.

Morph Ball = X: Use your morph ball to get into small places, such as tunnels.
---Morph Ball Bomb: While in Morph Ball mode, if you press A it will drop a bomb.  Use these bombs to destroy certain objects and jump in ball mode.
---Power Bomb: Whike in Morph Ball mode, if you press Y it will drop a power bomb.  Power bombs are extremely powerful and can clear obstacles no other weapon can destroy.

Map = Z: Pressing Z will call up your map.  The map is 3-D, so it can be confusing, but you will get used to it.

Pause = Start/Pause: Pressing the little grey button on the middle of your controller will call up the pause screen, which is divided into three sections:  Log Book, Options, and Inventory.

Manual Aim = R: Hold and move the control stick to aim Samus' gun.

Lock On = L: Locking onto enemies lets you sidestep around them, and keep a steady aim even if they try to dodge you.
---Scan Object: When using the scan visor, press L to scan an object.
---Grapple Beam: After aquiring the grapple beam, aim at a grapple point and hold L to shoot the grapple beam, then release the button to let go.
---Dashing: To dash to the side while locked onto an enemy, tilt the control stick left or right and press B.

Toggle Visors = D-Pad
Toggle Beam Weapons = C-Stick


Note:  The C-Stick is no the same as the Control stick.  The C-Stick is the yellow joystick on the right side of the controller.
