After thorough investigation on the matter of Planet Zebes, it is the opinion of this agent and those on the investigative teams (see attached) that the Space Pirate sect that had been established on the planet has been eradicated. Bounty Hunter Samus Aran's mission, however, was not proven entirely successful as the larval entity stolen was not recovered. In her report, she indicated contact with the entity which in turn gave up its life to save her. It is an interesting note that this same larva was brought back with Aran on her second mission to SR-388, and that the species shows enough intelligence to know friend from foe.
Unfortunately, it seems any last trace of the Metroid entity has been destroyed in the resulting blast that took with it the planet. It is regrettable, as BSL scientists had not been able to fully study the creature before the Ceres space station was attacked.
Yet a good note comes with the ultimate destruction of the Space Pirate leaders: the Mother Brain and Ridley, both of whom were killed by Aran after the self destruct of the planet. It is a great blow to the Space Pirates, and will set them back for decades.
