About the NABI 40C-LFW
These buses are the 2002 CompoBuses. The word Compo means Composite and Bus = Composite Bus! These buses are made or Composite materials. They are made out of fiberglass with a balsa core. They are lighter than the regular 40-LFW's and are alot cheaper and easier to fix. The buses also have a longer life-span than the 40-LFW. MTA also has ordered 45C-LFW's and a current order of NABI 60-LFW "Articulated" buses. The 45C-LFW's will hold 30% more passengers and the 60-LFW's will hold 50% more than the regular 40 foot buses. These buses should arrive in 2004 and 2005. |
