| The stock stereo system I received with my Probe when I bought it new from the lot was a Ford cassette AM/FM system with 4 speakers. The stock system is very good, despite having only 4 speakers. I had wanted a CD changer in the car, so decided to buy an aftermarket stereo. I got a Denon system with 10 disc cd changer. From there I had decided I wanted more power in the system, thus came into being what you see below. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| The stereo you are looking at is a Denon head unit w/10 disc changer 1240 watt system. The components in the car consist of: Denon Head unit (AM/FM, cassette, cd changer) 10 Disc Changer 2 600 Watt California Series A640 Profile Amps 4 outputs each 1 Denon 40 watt amp 2 output 14 output Acoustic Crossover 4 pioneer door/back seat speakers 2 mobile authority 12 inch subwoofers 2 infiniti kappas 2 jbl tweeters 1 noise suppressor |

| The stereo was the most difficult modification I did to this car. I wanted something pretty elaborate. I did the stereo piece by piece. The most difficult part of this install is the removal of the door and side panels. Once those are off the entire thing is a piece of cake. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| This stereo and a lot of other looks pretty complicated but is actually very simple. The first thing to do is to route 2 4 gauge wires from the battery to the back of the car, in the hatch. This will power all of the amps. I used a pheonix gold power distributor and ran these power wires into it. From there you can connect individual wires to connect to the amps, and of course the crossover. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
