Lindsay's Profile


Lindsay Richardson is a native of Anguilla in the British West Indies; second of seven children to Alma and Lindsay Richardson Sr., educated thru high school in Anguilla; and worked for three years in Bank of America, Anguilla Branch, as an Audit Clerk.

Lindsay is Married to Charmaine Rey-Richardson, also a native of Anguilla, and together they have a three year old son, Charis Rey-Richardson.

Lindsay Candidated for the Ministry of The Methodist Church in the Caribbean and the Americas (MCCA) and, entered The United Theological College of the West Indies (UTCWI), in 1985. He Graduated in 1989 with a Diploma in Ministerial Studies (equivalent to Master of Divinity Degree) from UTCWI, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Upper Second Class Honours) in Theology from the University of the West Indies(U.W.I.), Mona, Jamaica.

Lindsay worked as an Associate Pastor in the St. Thomas Circuit of the Jamaica Methodist District Conference from 1989 to 1992, with direct responsibility for Seven of eighteen Churches in the Circuit. In 1992, he was transfered to be the Superintendent of the May Pen Circuit of The Jamaica District Conference, with responsibility for Six Churches.

In May Pen, Lindsay was a voluntary member of the United Way of Jamaica; Chairman of the May Pen Ministers' Fraternal, and the Clarendon Ministers' Fraternal for two consecutive terms; Member of the Clarendon Parish Disaster Preparedness Committee; Member of the Clarendon Road Safety Committee; one of the Directors of the Clarendon Association for Street People (CLASP); Chairman of Zone Three of the Jamaica Methodist District Conference for two consecutive terms. Zone Three is comprised of three circuits, namely May Pen, Frankfield, and Spanish Town.

Lindsay was granted study leave in 1997, and left The May Pen Circuit for the Theological School of Drew University, Madison, New Jersey, to pursue the two year degree in the Master of Theological Studies (MTS). Lindsay graduated in October 1998 with Summa cum Laude, having completed the MTS Degree in August 1998. He was accepted into the Drew Graduate School Religion and Society Program, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Psychology and Religion.

Lindsay worked (1997-1999)part time as Pastoral Assistant at Calvary-Roseville United Methodist Church, East Orange, New Jersey. He is presently part of a Pastoral Team of Three at Covenant United Methodist Church in Plainfield, New Jersey.

Lindsay loves music, and enjoys working with and repairing computers.
