Stabbing Westward - 'Wither blister burn and peel' - By C. Impey
"Wither Blister Burn and Peel" was the Stabbing Westward release before the amazing "Darkest Days". As for comparing the two, "Darkest Days" is more diverse and dynamic, the songs on "Wither Blister Burn and Peel" all sounding more similar to each other. However "WBBP" is my favourite out of the two. On this album is the classic song that every Stabbing Westward fan should know, "What Do I Have To Do", this is a brilliant song that captures Christopher Hall's great vocals, the great musical talent of the rest of the band and the bands lyrical genius. The mix of sounds on this album go from the enchanting, hypnotic "Why" and "Sleep", to the aggressive "I Don't Believe" and "So Wrong". This album is a must buy for all Stabbing Westward fans, and people who enjoy listening to any of the other albums, or and specific songs. Metal Obsessive Grade: 94% |
