I believe its for me to present a band that I believe represents the true spirit of rock n roll today. The leader of the band, Dave Wyndorf, is one of those people destined to be a rock star. The success of this album has been huge and rightly so. Sometimes I cant understand why this band is connected with the stoner rock scene, their music is pure rock.

In this album we can find 13 songs of the highest quality. Especially the guitar work, which is exceptional. Every riff and solo is cleverly written and theyre the main reason of all these great songs come to life. The rhythm section plays its role, providing a background on which the melodies can create a magnificent soundscape. There is not much else here other than straight, in-your-face rock n roll. Unfortunately I havent yet had the chance to see them live, but I believe that would be an unforgettable experience. One thing is for sure, songs like Crop Circle, Powertrip, Space Lord and 3rd Eye Landslide arent written every day. However there are three songs that stand out on this record, and they are Goliath And The Vampires, a totally psycho instrumental song, Baby Gtterdmerung, one of my favorites in the album, which has a really strange musical background and some even stranger lyrics, and Your Lies Become You, a slow ballad-like tune which is the perfect closing for the album.

I think this is a very good album for people who like rock and its surely a nice break from all the other heavy and moody albums we listen to regurarly. These guys know how to party and how to make other people party as well. So, long live Rock n Roll
