Atari Teenage Riot - '60 second wipeout' - By P. Alander
If you�ve ever pondered what would be a perfect soundtrack for riots and destroying, then good news! It would definetly be this on from ATR. Mixing distorted quitars, Sampled drum beats (distorted), Computer noise (distorted), shouted vocals (distorted, what else?) and very, very angry lyrics against it all. The opening �Revolution action� is a good example of how this is going to be, it aint going to be pretty, punk, Noise, HC and destroy everything kind of a feeling on the top. Number three named �Western decay� is a �chill out� track, if you want to call it that, before the storm a good exa,ple of revolution music. The following �Atari Teenage Riot 2� is a track that got me jumping all around and my neighbours complaining, maybe I should start a riot afterall� �Ghost chace� follows and is something of a interlude. Number six is a track you could play to an angry mob that isn�t actually doing anything besides looking tough etc. The title says it all �Too death to me�. Track seven is even more hatred and anger towards the ever spreading powers of America, listen to it, I mean listen to it. The following �The virus has been spread� offers you Noise, beautiful and heavy Noise. Then we get to the classic section, running on number 9 �Digital Hardkore� is what the DHR movement is about 30% of music and 70% of noise, F*cking brain melting piece of pure sience wich will turn masses in to an war machine against capitalism. On track 10 then there�s no one else but Dino Cazares handling the guitar, under a title as suggesting as �Death to the president D.I.Y� it gives you more of DHR wich is represented all over the album and is a great chunk of noie, breakbeats and cacophonia.The 11th piece of hatred is called �Your uniform (does not impress me)� is a statement against the �too eager� police forces who cause pointless violence and the �license to kill� mentality wich some of them seem to carry around in their heads, it�s also an monolith against controlling people with violence. The whole record is ANGRY, and for a reason. At the current events in the world and the unbelievable stupidity of America and their military forces this is a great record to express my feelings towards the USA!!! Metal Obsessive Grade: 100% |
