HISTORY
In the May of 2002, two 8th graders, Mike Naran and Matt Alves, came together to form a rockin rock band. The two started jamming together in Matt's garage with Matt on guitar and Mike on the skins. After about a month, they switched their instrument roles and realized that they needed a bass player, so they called up their good friend Jake Marasco. Jake became part of the group (then called Rotten), and they played shows at such places as the Empress Ballroom and Mike's dumb school's autitorium. About six months later, in the middle of their 9th grade year, Jake started to kinda lose intrest. The kid started doing other activities and never had time to play, so Mike and Matt stopped inviting him to practice. Stuck for a while without a bassist, Mike and Matt did not want to end the band. However, they remembered this kid Steve Walker who played bass and who had jokingly offered to play bass for them about 6 months earlier.. Mike called him up and Steve was like woah hey and wanted to play that very day or so they say. Steve came on board as the new bass player and cool thigs started to happen. In the second week of Steve's attendance they found themselves headlining a show and played great. They have also recently changed their name to Misnomer. The current lineup is: Mike Naran - guitar and vocals; Steve Walker - bass; Matt Alves - drums

Misnomer has shared the stage with personal favorites such as the flamingos!, beia, decoy, silenced sin, genuine imitations, anytime in july, break away, no xcuses, for every reason, y3$ pl3@s3,  choice!, fuckin finch cover band, katie, and some others who were less important because i forgot
